Labour not committed to supporting part-time students either

Today, Phil Goff did a live chat on Facebook and Twitter. Labour MPs Iain Lees Galloway and the party’s tertiary education spokesperson David Shearer were openly critical of the budget decision to remove the $1000 course-related costs for part time students.

So I asked Phil Goff whether Labour, in Government, would be reversing the budget decision to keep the $1000 course –related costs for part-time students. His response?

Haven’t made any decision to take it away

Translated: Although National will take it away, Labour is not likely to reinstate it .

If Goff thought Labour should reverse the budget decision on course-related costs, he would have said so.
