I am a returned soldier, having served in Korea and Malaya. I will be eighty this year. I am disabled, due to an injury which has become progressive. When I was seventy, my wife was still working, and I was househusband, but I decided that if I was going to get a BA , I would have to start now.

I have been doing one paper at a time, partly because I have been paying for them as I go, and partly because, after many years without study, I needed confidence. Besides, it suited my work-life balance.

I have completed twenty papers and have a few more to go. I have been reading (with growing concern,) about the new enrolment policy that Massey will have to implement. Nowhere does it say that those doing satisfactory progress will be allowed to re-enrol, and nowhere does it say what satisfactory progress is.

Is all this work going to be wasted?
